How to Fix Date and Time

If your PC has the wrong date and time setting, then all the files you create and save will have the wrong dates on them as well. Here's the quickest and easiest way to manually set your clock and calendar to the correct time in Windows.

Instructions

1. On the right side of the Taskbar at the bottom of your Windows screen, double-click directly on the time. The Date/Time control panel will automatically open.

2. To set the date, click on the correct day, month and year.

3. To set the time, enter the correct time in the box.

4. To set your time zone, click on the Time Zone tab, then select the correct zone from the drop-down menu.

Tips & Warnings

• You can use the Regional Settings control panel to change the format that Windows uses to display the date and time--if, say, you prefer European date formats.

on 6/17/2009 i tired that but keeps losing time.

on 6/15/2008 I have tried this but,it keeps going back to military time after midnight and the date does not change unless I manually go in to change it each time.What else can I do?
