How to Book a Hotel Package for the Greek Islands

There are a multitude of gorgeous Greek isles to choose from when planning an Aegean island-hopping excursion, not to mention the many hotels and resorts on each. With the right amount of research, you'll be swilling ouzo and yelling "Opa!" in no time.

1. Figure out when you want to go and how long you'd like to stay. Factors such as climate, European holidays and political crises (skip a Greek garbage strike) are important considerations.

2. Choose which islands you'd like to explore on your trip by researching what each island has to offer. If you've never been to Greece before, spend at least a few days touring the glories of Athens before you hit the islands.

3. Shop the Internet for package options or hire a reputable travel agent who specializes in trips to Greece to book your package.

4. Contact the hotel(s) directly before you arrive to be sure that all of your arrangements are in correct order, especially if you've booked your trip through a travel agent, no matter how reputable.
