  • 2 large onions - chopped fine
  • 2 1/2 tbsp. vegetable oils
  • 2 1/2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauces
  • saucepans
  • 1/2 cup, plus 2 tbsp. pure maple syrups
  • measuring spoons
  • 1 tbsp. Dijon mustards
  • 3/4 cup cider vinegars

  • 1 1/4 cups ketchup
  • wooden spoons
  • 2 1/2 cups chicken broths

  • 1 1/4 cups ketchup
  • 3/4 cup cider vinegars
  • 2 large onions - chopped fine
  • 2 1/2 cups chicken broths
  • 1/2 cup, plus 2 tbsp. pure maple syrups
  • 2 1/2 tbsp. vegetable oils
  • 2 1/2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauces
  • 1 tbsp. Dijon mustards
  1. Step 1

    In a heavy saucepan, combine onions, oil, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, ketchup, broth, vinegar and syrup.

  2. Step 2

    Bring to a boil.

  3. Step 3

    Simmer sauce, stirring occasionally, for 50 minutes, or until it is reduced to about 3½ cups.

Tips & Warnings
  • This sauce can be made up to a week in advance, and kept covered and chilled.
