Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
Step1
Weigh the benefits of each service you have access to.
Step2
Consider the United States Postal Service, UPS and Federal Express. Each service has different rates and delivery options.
Step3
Follow the instructions in "How to Prepare Parcels for Shipping" in the Related eHows.
Step4
Print the complete address on the box in large letters. Make sure the label doesn't cross a seam or closure.
Step5
Put an address label inside the box as well, in case the original label is lost or damaged.
Step6
Provide the post office box number or apartment number, if applicable. Remember that UPS and FedEx cannot deliver to a post office box.
Step7
Put a return address on the top left-hand corner of the box. Include your name, phone number and complete address, including the ZIP code.
Step8
Schedule a pickup with UPS or FedEx or take your packages to a drop-off location.
Step9
Request additional insurance and the Postal Service's delivery confirmation if needed.
Step10
Keep your receipt so that you can track delivery or claim a loss.
