Face forward, with your body turned to the side at the hips. Your forward foot will face the attacker. Your rear foot will face outside at a 90-degree angle.

Keep your weight on the balls of your feet with a low center of gravity. Bend your knees slightly.

Block the attacker's straight punch from the outside with a sliding deflection of your forward arm, which strikes at the attacker's eyes with extended fingers at the same time.

Tips & Warnings
Be sure your stance provides stability as you lean. With your body facing the side, keep your front foot facing the attacker and your rear foot facing out at a 90-degree angle (fighting stance).
