How to Make Curried Yogurt Sauce

Try this sauce on cold beef or chicken. Makes about 1½ cups.

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 tbsp. mango chutney
  • 1 tbsp. curry powder
  • 1 tsp. fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp. red onion
  • 3/4 cup plain yogurt
  • Groceries
  • Hand Mixers
  • Wire Whisks Or Fork
  1. Step 1

    Blend together ½ cup yogurt, chutney and lime juice until smooth.

  2. Step 2

    Transfer mixture to bowl, and whisk in remaining ¼ cup yogurt, mayonnaise, curry powder, onion, and salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Step 3

    Chill covered for at least 8 hours, to give the flavors time to blend. Store up to 3 days.

Tips & Warnings
  • Consider sprinkling sauce with additional onion.
  • Use a high-quality Indian curry powder (not an Asian curry powder).
