A stroller will be one of your most-used items, so buy the best quality you can afford or request one as a shower gift. Most parents use it several times a day, loading it in and out of the car, cruising with baby from the zoo to the mall. Most manufacturers offer a variety of styles, from standard to travel to jogging; comparison shop in Baby Bargains and talk to other parents about their recommendations.

Tips & Warnings
  • Save your back by buying a stroller with wheels that navigate easily and handlebars that fit properly. Buy a handlebar extension if necessary.
  • Ask if you can test drive the stroller, with child inside, to see how the stroller handles the reality factor.
  • Think about what makes the most sense for your lifestyle. Active? A jogging stroller or one that converts to a backpack may be just the ticket.

on 11/21/2008 Agreed, one of the best things you can do to find the perfect stroller is ask your friends and family. Or, you can simply visit all the stores you can that sell strollers and test them at the store with you child in them. This is usually not a problem at places such as babiesRus etc...

Good luck in finding your stroller.
