How to Make Lemon Mustard Marinade

This marinade gives an a fresh, zingy taste to broiled, grilled, or roasted fish and poultry. Makes one cup.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 minced garlic cloves
  • 1/3 cup water
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp. sugars
  • 2/3 cup lemon juices
  • measuring spoons
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • 3 tbsp. Dijon mustards
  • measuring cups

  • 2 tsp. lemon peel zest
  • Salt And Pepper To Taste

  • 3 tbsp. Dijon mustards
  • 1/2 tsp. sugars
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 tsp. lemon peel zest
  • 2/3 cup lemon juices
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • 1 minced garlic cloves
  1. Step 1

    Whisk all ingredients together in a small bowl.

  2. Step 2

    Pour over fish or chicken and marinate for about 20 minutes to an hour. Don't marinate too long, because the acid in the marinade will "cook" the meat.

  3. Step 3

    Use any extra marinade to baste the poultry or fish while cooking.

Tips & Warnings
  • To zest a lemon, use a fine grater or remove strips of peel with a zester or vegetable parer, then chop finely. Make sure to remove only the yellow peel and not the bitter white pith.
