Things You'll Need:
- Barbie Printers
- Computer Desks
- Printer Paper
- Barbie PCs
- Barbie Dolls
-
Step 1
Think about the child you are considering buying the computer for. Is she old enough to use it responsibly?
-
Step 2
Look at the Barbie PC online. Notice its distinctive pink-and-silver decor.
-
Step 3
Understand that it is a real computer with color monitor, keyboard, floppy drive, 3 GB hard drive, 32 MB memory, 32x CD-ROM, fax/modem and speakers.
-
Step 4
Consider the large amount of software the Barbie PC comes with: 12 Barbie software titles including Barbie Detective, Barbie Riding Club and Barbie Fashion Designer. It also includes Windows 98 and an encyclopedia, atlas, math program, keyboard program, Internet access software, a creative writing program and Cyber Patrol, which supervises children's Internet access.
-
Step 5
Know that the system includes the Barbie digital camera and accompanying software.
-
Step 6
Realize that the system does not include a printer, but that one can be added to the system.
-
Step 7
Be surprised that the entire system can be purchased for about $600.

on 1/20/2008 This article is from 2000. I purchased one of these computers for my daughter in Jan. 2000. Surprisingly, it still works. The company went bankrupt around Christmas of the same year. Here is a link with more information: http://www.news.com/Bankruptcy-crashes-the-Barbie-PC/2100-1040_3-250222.html

on 1/19/2008 This is a very old article. The Barbie PC was out in 1999/2000. I bought one for my daughter back in 2000. We actually still have it and it still works. The company has since went bankrupt. You can read it about it here.
