Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Start Paint Shop Pro and open the button file. Save the file with a new name, such as home.JPG.

  2. Step 2

Choose the Text tool from the toolbar (it resembles a titled letter).

  3. Step 3

Click on the top box of the color palette on the left-hand side of the screen. Choose a font color and select OK.

  4. Step 4

Place the crosshair cursor on the button and click to open the Add Text dialog box.

  5. Step 5

Select the font, font size and properties for your text.

  6. Step 6

Type the button text in the white box at the bottom of the dialog box. Click OK.

  7. Step 7

Move the text by dragging it into place. Click elsewhere on the page to deselect the text.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you are unsatisfied with the way the button looks, select Undo from the Edit menu to undo your changes.
  • Make sure the Floating box in the Add Text box is selected. This allows you to move the text in the button.
  • Choose a simple, easy-to-read font for your button. Remember that buttons are generally small in size and fancy text will make it hard to read.
