How to Make 1812 Barbecue Sauce

This zesty sauce uses 1812 wine sauce, a Louisiana hot pepper sauce. If you can't get 1812 sauce, try your favorite hot-pepper concoction.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Blend butter, minced parsley, 1812 wine sauce and cane vinegar in a small bowl or a blender.

  2. Step 2

    Beat by hand for 4 minutes or blend on medium speed for 2 minutes.

  3. Step 3

    Transfer sauce to a small pot and heat on low heat until warm; use wil barbecued or grilled meat.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use rice wine vinegar as a substitute for cane vinegar.
  • Gazin's Cajun Cuisine carries 1812 wine sauce.
