Find Baseball Tickets Online

Step1
Determine which opponent or date you want to see your favorite baseball team in action.
Step2
Check the tickets section of the team's website to see if tickets are still available. Usually, the tickets they have left are those that season ticket holders did not buy before the season began and while you won't pay more than list price, you will rarely find a good seat this way.
Step3
Look for a team sponsored online ticket marketplace. Some teams make that service available so their season ticket holders can sell tickets to games they cannot attend. These team sponsored marketplaces can be a great place to find a choice seat at a reasonable price.
Step4
Visit an independent ticket marketplace like StubHub and click on baseball tickets to see a wide selection of tickets and prices for any game available for purchase. These tickets are posted for sale by season ticket holders who can't make the game. Sites like this often sell seats right behind home plate but you will need a major league bank account to afford them. Fortunately they also sell cheap seats in the bleachers.
Step5
Hunt for bargains on eBay or Craigslist.org. You can occasionally find great deals on these sites, but understand in advance how and when you will get your tickets before sending your money to someone you don't know.
Step6
Consider the multitude of ticket broker websites you can find by searching on Google, but make sure to only deal with reputable sellers.

Tips & Warnings

  • In most cases (but not always), there are more tickets available, and at better prices, well in advance of the game.
  • For any Internet transaction you do, make sure the website where you buy tickets is secure and reputable. Look for a seal of approval from the Better Business Bureau, Verisign or similar organizations. When buying on eBay look for a high seller feedback score.
  • Before making any purchase make sure you have a good seat by checking a map of the ballpark. Maps of every major league park are available at StubHub.com.
  • eBay is often a good place to find baseball tickets, but beware of counterfeits and fraud. A ticket marketplace site like StubHub or one provided by the teams themselves usually offers guarantees on their transactions.
