How to Change the View in a PDF (Acrobat) Document

Portable Document Format (PDF) files have become a standard for document exchange. With a PDF, readers can view and print a document even when they don't have the fonts it was created with. But PDFs are read-only - viewers can't change them. So what do you do when you open a PDF and find it hard to read?

Things You'll Need:

  • Adobe Acrobat Reader
  1. Step 1

    Click on the magnifying glass at the bottom of the screen and enter a size to increase the readability of a document.

  2. Step 2

    Choose View and select a size from the pull-down menu, or choose Zoom To and enter a size of your choice.

Tips & Warnings
  • Not sure what to try? 150 to 200 percent may be a good place to start.
