Step1
Realize that most rules of halfpipe etiquette are simply common sense. So that everyone can have fun on it, don't trash the halfpipe.
Step2
Wait your turn.
Step3
Drop in only when the rider ahead of you has ended his or her run and is clear of the pipe.
Step4
Ride straight down the center of the pipe after you fall. Don't climb up the wall or try to build your speed back up. When you fall, your ride is over.
Step5
Bring good vibes to the pipe. Don't talk bad about others just learning to ride. Cheer people on and people will cheer you on.
Step6
Smile and have fun.

Tips & Warnings

  • At the end of the day, sideslip down the transitions to groom them for the next day's riding.
  • Don't cut ledges or stairs into the walls of the pipe.
  • Don't take off your board in the pipe unless you absolutely must.
  • Watch out for other riders in the pipe. If you see someone doing something dangerous, mention it to him or her politely. The person may not even be aware of it.
  • Snowboarding is an inherently dangerous activity that can result in serious injury or death. We recommend that you seek proper training and equipment before attempting this activity.
