Never look to your side to see if someone is behind you or not.
Step3
Think as if you are the only one out there. [really? intuitively this seems to simplistic a statement, for safety and racing reasons...]
Step4
Really focus.
Step5
Ride the track in first gear 3 times. This is to get the feel of the track and your bike.
Step6
Now if everything is fine ride in second gear 3 times.
Step7
If all feels well you are ready for the race.
Step8
[this seems too focused on racing rather than just riding; aren't there more tips from riders than these about riding safe? like how to safely turn a corner, jump, etc.?]
Tips & Warnings
Don't worry what everyone else is doing. Concentrate on your own race. Make it a great race no matter where you place.

before u start a race look around the track to see where the ruts are because if u hit the wrong rut u will go down hard and before a race make sure to pat down ur path out the gate to make sure u dont run out your area and clash with other riders

At the tip of the jump, use your bodyweight to push down on the foot pegs to compress the spring. This will give you more height on the jump and help to clear it.

on 11/22/2005 Do not ride around in first gear 3 times. It is a guaranteed way to stress the engine and blow a top end.
