How to Buy a Motorcross Bike

There are two things to consider. Weight and color.

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
First if your weight is under 80 pounds or lighter a 80cc.
Step2
If you weigh up to 170 pounds a 125 cc.
Step3
Or if weigh over 170 pounds a 250cc.
Step4
If you want a lime green Motorcross bike? That will be Kawasaki.
Step5
If you are looking for a red and white Motor cross? You would get a Honda.
Step6
How about a yellow, black and white bike? Suzuki.
Step7
If you are looking at blue and white that would be Yamaha.

Tips & Warnings

  • See if you know someone that has the same bike you are interested in and ride it. Remember that stores will let you test drive a new car but not a motorcross bike.
  • Motorcross riding is an inherently dangerous activity that can result in serious injury or death. We recommend that you seek proper training and equipment before attempting this activity.

on 11/22/2005 If it is your first time on a dirt bike, choose a four stroke. They are easier to control. If you weigh 90-130 pounds, I would suggest a TT-R 125 L by Yamaha.
