How to Buy Play Yard Equipment

  • Play Yard Ground Materials
  • Children
  • Credit Cards And Loans
  • Swing Set
  1. Step 1

    Measure your play area.

  2. Step 2

    Log on to to a website that sells playground equipment.

  3. Step 3

    Click on "playground equipment" or "swing sets," as appropriate.

  4. Step 4

    Make sure to find the size of the playset, sometimes called a "footprint."

  5. Step 5

    Call for more information or contact the manufacturer directly if no size is available.

  6. Step 6

    Ask whether it's possible to have a representative come out to assemble the equipment if the playset you want looks complicated, if you aren't interested in assembling it, or if you don't have the right tools.

  7. Step 7

    Head to the toy store with your child and try a few out if you do not want to shop online. Most large toy stores will have a few swing sets up on the sales floor for test driving.

  8. Step 8

    Ask about delivery and assembly before purchasing.
