Step 1
Measure the length of your window.

Step 2
Cut pieces of ribbon or cord to about 1 1/2 times this length.

Step 3
Attach the pieces of ribbon or cord to thumbtacks or pushpins, and then hang them along the top of the window frame. Try for alternating colors (silver and gold) at relatively even intervals (every 8 to 10 inches).

Step 4
Punch a hole in the top of a card and tie it toward the top of the first ribbon.

Step 5
Choose a card with contrasting colors (and perhaps a different size); punch a hole in the top of it and tie it below the first card.

Step 6
Continue until your window is filled with colorful, dangling strings of variously colored and shaped cards.

on 11/22/2005 If you have horizontal blinds with slats in them, you can display your cards on the slats. Simply open a card and place one side on either side of the slat. Keep in mind that you won't be able to open the blinds with the cards on them.
