Instructions

    • 1

Heat the oven to 325 degrees F.

    • 2

Beat the butter, sugar and brown sugar until light and creamy.

    • 3

Meanwhile, stir together the flour, baking soda and salt.

    • 4

When the butter is creamy, add the eggs one at a time, then the vanilla.

    • 5

Add the flour mixture slowly, and when it is almost all incorporated, add the macadamia nuts and white chocolate.

    • 6

      Stir together well.

    • 7

Drop tablespoon-sized rounds on cookie sheets and bake for 15 minutes, or until edges just start to turn golden.

    • 8

Remove the cookies from the cookie sheets to cool so the white chocolate doesn't melt too much.

Tips & Warnings

  • White chocolate is not technically real chocolate, because it doesn't contain any cocoa solids. White chocolate is a mixture of cocoa butter, dairy solids, vanilla and sugar. Unfortunately, many white chocolates on the market don't contain any cocoa butter; for this recipe, use only those that do.

These cookies were served in the break room of a trucking company. The cookies disappeared and there was nary a crumb left. Must have been good, eh? ;) This recipe is a good alternative to "traditional" chocolate chip cookies.
