Measure the embroidery string. Ensure that you have enough string to make strong bracelets for each person. The string should reach from the tip of your hand to your shoulder. A length of 140 inches per bracelet will provide you with enough strands. Cut the string into equal sections for each friend who will receive a bracelet.

Fold each measured section in half and form a loop in the center. Tie a knot with the loop to hold the pieces of embroidery string together.

Separate the four strands from each other. Cross the fourth strand over the second and third. Cross the third strand over the second. Cross the first strand over the second and third strands.
