How to Make Arabian Pillows
When you want to give your room a touch of Middle Eastern decor, consider adding a few Arabian pillows. Arabian pillows are highly decorated in rich colors and made with rich fabrics, and they add tactile and visual pleasure to the the room. Make your Arabian pillows out of brocades or plush velvet. For a do-it-yourself charm, make them out of used clothing that is made out of these fabrics. Does this Spark an idea?

Cut two squares of fabric that are 12 inches on each side using a sharp pair of scissors.

Place the two squares of fabric together, patterned sides facing inward.

Stitch around the edges of the two squares, leaving a 4-inch gap on one of the sides.

Turn the pillow right-side out through the gap you left.

Stuff the pillow with fiber fill. Fiber fill is available from craft and fabric stores.

Turn the raw edges of the gap into the pillow and sew it closed.

Sew four upholstery tassels to each corner of the pillow.

Tips & Warnings
Sew a line of fringe around the edge of the cushion for a different look.
