How to Troubleshoot the Nextbook2

The Next2 is a 7-inch tablet manufactured and developed by the NextBook company that has a touch screen color display for connecting to the Internet and performing computer tasks. It is ideal for reading ebooks, viewing videos, listening to music and several other tasks. It has a built-in 2GB memory and card slots compatible with SD or MMC cards for memory expansion.

Instructions

    • 1

Navigate to "Settings," "Network Controls" and then "Wi-Fi." If you are connected to a network, the tablet should display "Connected to..."

    • 2

Tap another "SSID" displayed by your Next2 and connect to another network instead. If you fail to connect, restart the device and try connecting again. If you still cannot connect, there may be issues with the network.

    • 3

Connect the Next2 to the computer and transfer files using the USB cable that comes with the device. If you are having problems transferring files, make sure both ends of the USB cable are properly connected to the computer and the NextBook2. You do not need to install any software driver because the computer will automatically detect the device. Click "Start" and then "Computer." The Next2 should appear as a removable device.

    • 4

Press the power button for at least 15 seconds if the Next2 stops responding or freezes while you are using it. Reset it if pressing the power button does not turn the device off. Use a needle or any small, pointed object to press the "Reset pin hole" at the back of the device. The device should power on this time. If it freezes a second time, press the "Reset" button once again.

Tips & Warnings

  • The battery life of your Next2 can last from four to 10 hours when fully charged, depending on the tasks you do with it. Battery life expectancy is 6.5 hours for E-book or Internet browsing, seven hours for music playback and 5.5 hours for movie playback.

  • Make sure that the file you are opening is supported by the Next2. For example, if you are trying to open a photo, the Next2 only supports GIF, JPG and BMP formats. If the file you are opening is not supported, you will not be able to open it.
