How to Do Downhill Skateboarding

"Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam" is a skateboarding racing game released by Activision for the Nintendo Wii in late 2006. Unlike previous "Tony Hawk" games, your objective is to race against other opponents on your skateboard, not become the greatest professional of all time. The key to succeeding in this game is to avoid crashing into your opponents and to perform tricks on any obstacles you come across when skating downhill.

Instructions

    • 1

Hold down the "2" button on the Wii remote to crouch. Because you are going downhill, this maximizes your skating speed.

    • 2

Tilt the Wii remote to the left or the right to steer in the respective direction.

    • 3

Release the "2" button at any time to ollie into the air. Press the "2" button and any button on the directional pad to perform a grab trick while in the air. Press the "1" button and any button on the directional pad to perform a flip trick while in the air.

    • 4

Tap the "1" or "2" button twice near a surface's edge to grind against it. Tilt the Wii remote to balance yourself.

    • 5

Shake the Wii remote up and down to recover yourself if you accidentally mess up a trick. If timed properly, you will get back up and keep skating. If not, press "-" to respawn.
