How to Get to Get the Black Chroma Spinae on 'Pocket Frogs'

"Pocket Frogs" is an iPhone game developed by NimbleBit. By collecting frogs, you can populate a virtual pond with digital frogs. Breeding frogs together produces offspring that can also live in your pond. Choosing specific frog types when breeding allows you to create the frog offspring you desire. The Black Chroma Spinae is one such specific type of frog. It is black with spots on its back. "Chroma" refers to the frog's ability to dynamically change colors.

Things You'll Need

• Black Carota Mixtus frog
• Black Aurum Spinae frog

Instructions

1. Launch "Pocket Frogs." Load a habitat that has a Black Carota Mixtus and a Black Aurum Spinae.

2. Tap on either the Black Carota Mixtus or the Black Aurum Spinae. Tap on "Breed."

3. Select the other frog from the list of available frogs. Tap the "Breed" button. Press the "Breed" button once more to confirm.

4. Tap "View Nursery" to visit the nursery where your new egg is maturing. Tap the egg to see how much time remains before it hatches and can be tamed in your pond.

Tips & Warnings

• You can use frogs of different colors, but you may not get a Black Chroma Spinae on the first try. With both parents being the same color, you are guaranteed that their offspring will share their coloring.

• If you do not get a Black Chroma Spinae, repeat the process until you get one.
