How to Take the Visor Off a Helmet
Many motorcycle helmets are equipped with visors to protect the driver from debris while biking. While these visors can be convenient and practical, they can also be improved upon. If, for instance, you want a visor with a darker tint, you don't have to a buy an entirely new helmet -- you can simply purchase a new visor. But before you can add a new visor to your helmet, you must first know how to remove the old one.

1
Take your helmet off and set it on a flat surface so that you can see what you're doing.
-
2
Lift the visor up all the way until it locks itself into this position.
-
-
3
Pull up on the little lever on the left side of the helmet, where the visor connects with the helmet. This will disconnect the left side of the visor.
-
4
Repeat the previous step with the right side of the helmet. Pull the visor all the way off and set it aside. Your helmet's visor is now removed.
