Instructions

    • 1

Mix 1 tsp. each of malt vinegar, castor oil and glycerin in a small bowl with some of your own shampoo. Add a few drops of your favorite herbal oil. Apply the mixture to your hair before you shampoo it, and let it sit for 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly, then shampoo as usual. Rinse your hair in cool water.

    • 2

In a small bowl, mix 1 1/2 cups of water with the juice of one lemon. Pour the mixture through your hair after shampooing. Then rinse the lemon juice mixture thoroughly with cool water.

    • 3

Mix 1 tbsp. of vinegar with one gallon of distilled water. Rinse your hair with this mixture after using shampoo but before using conditioner. The acidity in the vinegar will tighten the hair cuticles and make it appear smoother.

    • 4

Mash one avocado in a small bowl. Add 1 tbsp. of olive oil and 1 tsp. of baking powder, and mix well. Apply this to your hair thoroughly, and let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse with cool water.

    • 5

Mix one raw egg and 1/2 cup of mayonnaise in a small bowl. Apply the mixture to your hair, and let it sit for at least 30 minutes. Rinse the mixture thoroughly with cool water.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you use heated styling tools, use heat-activated shampoos and conditioners to protect your hair. Brush your hair often to redistribute its natural oils.

  • For shinier hair, never blow dry your hair on high heat.
