How to Repair the Child Lock on a Frigidaire Dryer
Frigidaire dryers have a child lock that prevents children from accidentally starting the dryer, should they press the buttons on the control panel. The child lock is designed to be turned on and off easily by an adult. If the child lock is engaged and will not turn off, you may need to reset the dryer to disengage it. Press and hold the "Control Lock" button for five seconds to attempt to turn off the lock.

Locate the dryer breaker in your service panel, if step 1 did not turn off the lock, so that you can reset the dryer.

Turn off the dryer breaker and allow it to remain off for at least 30 seconds.

Turn on the dryer breaker to restore power to the dryer, which resets the dryer controls, turning off the control lock.
