Instructions

    • 1

Turn your couch over so the bottom side is up. Cut away the fabric from the underneath of the couch where you plan on mounting the subwoofer. On some couches, you may be able to remove the fabric by taking out staples.

    • 2

Measure the wooden framework underneath the couch. Each segment of the couch will have a square wooden frame underneath it. You'll be cutting a piece of wood that will attach to the four edges of this frame, filling in the space with a panel that will hold the subwoofer.

    • 3

Cut a piece of 3/4-inch plywood to match the dimensions you took in the previous step. Cut an opening for your subwoofer in the center of this piece of wood. Place the subwoofer into the panel and attach it with wood screws placed in the holes in the subwoofer's mounting ring.

    • 4

Place the panel with the subwoofer onto the bottom of the couch, with the magnet of the subwoofer extending below the couch, and attach it to the square wooden frame on all four sides with wood screws spaced every 3 inches around the perimeter. Turn the couch back over to use it.
