How to Make an Earring Loop

You can use different items in earring designs, such as beads and wire.

Making homemade jewelry can add a personal touch to jewelry you are making for yourself or as a gift. You can add your own customized pieces such as beads to make something you wouldn't find in a shop. Once you attach the pieces to a wire then you must bend the wire into a loop to attach to an earring hook. You can make an earring loop to attach this using basic cosmetic products and household tools.

Instructions

    • 1

Feed a hair pin through some beads or the item you wish to use as the earring feature.

    • 2

Grip the wire above the beads with needle-nose pliers. Bend the wire 90 degrees.

    • 3

Leave a centimeter of wire above the bend and trim the rest away with wire cutters.

    • 4

Hold the beads in place with your thumb. Grip the wire at the end with the pliers. Bend the wire back down to the beads to create a loop. You can now attach the loop to an earring hook to wear in the ear.
