How to Make a Paper F-22 Raptor
Origami technique -- a paper craft -- is used to create paper models such as military fighter planes. Origami art uses paper folds in shaping almost anything imaginable. Though some paper creations are simple and easy enough for children to do by themselves, making a paper F-22 raptor requires a little more skill and patience than the average kid can muster. You can impress your kids with your new paper folding skill by following simple instructions.

1
Lay the paper on a flat surface with the longer side facing you. Fold the paper in half connecting the right edge to the left edge. Crease the paper down the center and unfold.
-
2
Pull the top left and right edges down to the center crease line until they touch. Crease the edges. The folded edges will create a triangle.
-
-
3
Fold the tip of the triangle to the triangle's bottom edge at the crease line. Fold the downward pointing tip of the triangle to the top edge. Make a new crease in the triangle.
-
4
Fold the inner right and left edges at the crease line at 45-degree angles back toward the outer edges.
-
5
Fold the top left and right sides along the sides of the triangle point. This creates a new triangular point with flaps on both the left and right sides.
-
6
Fold the paper at the center line so the back side of your tabs touch. Lay the model flat so the unfolded edge is at the upper right corner.
-
7
Fold the corner of the right edge to touch the left flap. The fold line will start where it meets the flap. Make the fold and crease the new line. Fold the right edge to touch both sides of the model.
-
8
Open the model. Lift the triangle opposite the plane's frontward tip. Make diagonal folds in the triangle creating two small triangles at the rear.
-
9
Insert the tip between the layers of folds using the creases you made. The plane will take shape with a little effort. Apply a small piece of cellophane tape at each corner of the flaps -- now the wings. This will make the wings lie flat.
