Follow a skincare regime for a healthy complexion.

Even people with the best-maintained, healthiest skin face skin problems from time to time. Also, skin can change as a person gets older, and what may have once worked for their complexion may not be producing the same results anymore. Most people want to achieve their most perfect complexion but simply don't know how. While there are external issues, such as sun exposure and other environmental factors that cannot be avoided, you can treat your skin as best as possible to ensure a beautiful complexion. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Follow a regular skin care routine. Clean your skin with a facial cleanser, not a body soap. Moisturize your skin regularly as well. Choose products that match your skin type, whether you have dry, oily or combination skin. Use a facial exfoliator weekly to get rid of any dead skin cells, which will keep your complexion youthful.

Avoid touching your face too much with your hands. Too much contact will clog pores and increase dirt on the face, which can lead to a muddy complexion or acne.

    • 3

Choose organic skincare products and makeup, particularly if your skin is prone to problems.

    • 4

Eat a healthy diet, complete with a daily vitamin and plenty of water. Fruits, vegetables and cold-water fish will contribute to healthy, wrinkle-free skin and a clear, luminous complexion.

    • 5

Exercise regularly. Exercise increases blood circulation, which contributes greatly to a perfect complexion. Thirty minutes of exercise most days will also help your body get rid of toxins, including those that affect your pores.

    • 6

Sleep for several hours each night. While people vary on the amount of sleep they need, it's recommended to get somewhere between six and nine hours of sleep every night. Sleep restores the body, and without enough rest, the body produces a hormone that will break down skin cells and produce wrinkles, as well as zap a glowing complexion.

Protect your skin from the sun. While sun exposure isn't always avoidable, you can take steps to make sure your skin isn't damaged during the time you spend outside. Wear a hat and sunglasses to keep the sun off your face and delicate areas of your skin, such as around your eyes. Smooth on an SPF 30 or higher and reapply every one to two hours. Remember, tanned skin may look great, but it's a sign of skin damage. Skip the sun exposure and smooth on a self tanning cream instead.
