Instructions

    • 1

Cut two pieces of 1-by-4-inch board, one piece measuring 18 inches and the other piece measuring 17 inches. Sand the boards with sandpaper to remove any splinters and burrs.

    • 2

Drill a 1/4-inch diameter hole in the middle of the broad side of each board at 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15 inches from the end of each board. You will drill five holes into each board.

    • 3

Place the the broad side of the 18-inch board on one side of the corner wall, parallel to the floor, at the height you want to mount the speaker. Make sure the end of the board butts against the other wall. Put a level on top of the board and mark the location of the holes in the board onto the wall behind it.

    • 4

Drill 1/4-inch holes into the wall at the marks and insert hollow wall anchors at each location. Replace the board on the wall and line up the holes. Insert the screws from the hollow wall anchors into the boards and screw them into the anchors.

    • 5

Place the 17-inch board on the other wall of the corner, butting the end up to the board you've just mounted. Mark the hole locations and mount the board to the wall as you did in step 4.

    • 6

Cut a plywood triangle that has two 18-inch sides. Sand the board. Place the board on top of the two boards mounted in the wall and nail it to the boards with 3D finishing nails.

    • 7

Measure the front edge of the shelf and cut a piece of half-round trim to match. Nail it to the front of the shelf with 3D finishing nails.

    • 8

Paint or stain the board to match your interior decor.
