How to Hook Up a DirecTV Box to a Wi-Fi Network
Unlike earlier versions of its DVR, the DirecTV HD Plus DVR lets you connect to the Internet through your home network. In addition to surfing the Internet, you can also access DirecTV's MediaShare service, which lets you stream music and movies from the Internet to your television. To connect wirelessly to your home network, you only need to attach your DVR to a wireless transceiver, which you can purchase from most electronics stores.
