How to Create a Social Media Tab on Facebook
When you create a Facebook page, whether it's a fan page or for a business, you can add tabs to this page on which your visitors can click. In order to do this, you need to make an application within Facebook that will act as a tab. For instance, if you want to create a social media tab for your Facebook page, you'll need to create a social media application through Facebook's developer site.

Go to Facebook.com/developer and click on "Create New App."

Type in a name for your app, then read and agree to Facebook's terms of service, then click "Continue."

Enter in the CAPTUA, then press "Enter."

Click the "About" tab in your App Admin screen, which will appear as soon as you've entered in the correct CAPTUA.

Click "Change Your Icon" then upload a 16x16 image that you want to appear as your icon.

Click "Facebook Integration."

Fill out the following boxes with the appropriate information:
Canvas Page: Type in the word that a user will use to access your app, as in Facebook.com/CanvasPage.
Canvas URL: Type in the URL of your web server where all of your content is stored.
Canvas Type: Select "IFRAME" from the options.
Tab Name: Type in "Social Media".
Tab URL: Type in the home page of your Website, usually "index.html."

Click "Save Changes." After you click this, you'll be taken to your App's profile page.

Click "Application Profile Page" on the right side of the screen.

Click "Add to My Page" and this will add the social media tab to your Facebook page.

You can change the tab URL in step seven to reflect your website's social media page, if it has one.
