How to Get Minun in "Pearl"

Minun is an electric-type Pokemon with average statistics. It has a higher-than-average speed rating, which gives it a decent change of evading attacks. In "Pokemon Pearl," Minun can only be encountered after you've received the National PokeDex, which you get from Professor Rowan after you've seen all 151 Pokemon in the regular PokeDex. Minun can be found wandering around the Trophy Garden, located in the Pokemon Mansion along Route 212.

Go to Hearthome City. Press the "Start" button and select "Map" to see how to get to Hearthome City. Walk to the south section of Hearthome City and enter Route 212 as indicated by the sign on the edge of town.

Walk south along Route 212 until you see the Pokemon Mansion, the largest building on the route. Enter the Pokemon Mansion. Go to the far-right section of the mansion and enter the room with the mansion's owner and butler.

Save the game. Talk to the owner and answer "Yes" to all of his questions. He will brag about rare Pokemon wandering around in his garden. The Pokemon he brags about will change each day, so if he does not mention Minun, you will have to try another day. Because the game randomly generates which Pokemon appear, loading the saved game allows you to try again without having to wait.

Go to the Trophy Garden in the back of the mansion. Walk around until you encounter Minun. Use ground attacks to lower Minun's health. Throw a PokeBall to catch Minun when its health bar is red.
