Use CS5 design software on the go with your MacBook.

Adobe Creative Suite 5 is available as a download from Adobe's website or a boxed DVD set from retailers. CS5 contains several design programs, such as Photoshop and Illustrator. Adobe provides a serial number for each program. You need the serial numbers to run CS5 on your Mac. Whether you download the software or buy the DVDs, install and run CS5 on a MacBook in the same way.

Instructions

    • 1

Download the software from Adobe if you chose to purchase a download directly from its website.

    • 2

Gather the serial numbers for your programs. They're provided on the DVD cases or in the email you got from Adobe when you purchased the Web download.

    • 3

Insert the DVD in your MacBook or double-click the DMG installation file you downloaded from Adobe. The installation wizard begins.

    • 4

Follow the installation wizard prompts. You choose which design programs to install, and you're prompted to enter the serial numbers for each program.

    • 5

Wait for the message that says installation is successfully completed.

    • 6

Click on "Finder" in the Dock and click the Applications folder. Double-click the CS5 program you want to open. Single-click and drag the icon to the Dock to create a shortcut there.

    • 7

Launch CS5 programs from the Applications folder or the Dock when you want to use them.
