How to Get to Pastoria City in Platinum
Pastoria City is your typical Pokemon city with a PokeMart, Pokemon Center and Pokemon Gym. A good reason to revisit Pastoria after you've gotten the fourth gym badge is the Great Marsh, home of the safari game that allows you to hunt for rare Pokemon. You will not visit Pastoria City until midway through the game's story mode. Pastoria City is most easily accessible via Routes 213 and 214.

Go to Veilstone City. Press the "Start" button and select "Map" to see your current location and how to get to Veilstone City.

Head south from Veilstone City onto Route 214 as indicated by the sign on the edge of the city. Follow Route 214 south along the Maniac Tunnel until you transition onto Route 213.

Go west along Route 213 next to the lake until you reach Pastoria City.
