Obtaining a vendor's license is a wise way to raise money and awareness for the causes put forward by the Philadelphia School Board. In Philadelphia, acquiring a vendor's license requires an identical procedure, whether you are an individual citizen or member of an organized body. Once you have received your approval from the Philadelphia Department of Health (DOH), you can visit the Department of Licenses and Inspections (DOLI) in online to begin your process.

- Photographs of vending cart (2)

Visit the official DOLI website. Click on the "License and Permits App" link at the top of the home page.
Select the "License Forms" link. Click the "News/Sidewalk/Vendor" link. Download and print the "Vendor -- Foot, Motor Vehicle License" application.
Fill out the form in full. Write in your person Tax ID number or the number for the board -- if it has one. Contact the Philadelphia Revenue Department to obtain a business tax number.
Write in your social security number in the federal tax ID number text box. Include the description of the vending cart. Check off the type of vending for which your cart. Write in the name and address of the cart owner.
Sign and copy the application. Copy the DOH approval certificate as well.
Return the original application, a copy of the DOH approval certificate and two photos of the vending cart to the DOLI at: Municipal Services Building, 1401 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, 11th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19102. Include any stated fees -- up to $250 per cart, as stated on the application -- necessary to complete the processing. Allow 14 days for processing to complete and the issuance of a license.
