1
Tighten your shirt's collar before sitting down for a cut if you're wearing a button-up shirt or blouse. If you collar is tall or very stiff, try folding it into your shirt.
-
2
Have talc powder dusted behind your ears and down the nape of your neck. In barbershops, talc has been used to combat post-haircut itch for decades.

3
Ask your barber or stylist to place a paper neck guard just below your nape. This helps protect this sensitive skin from dry, sliver-like hairs.
-
4
Have your stylist brush your neck free of hair every few minutes. If you have an issue with public neck brushes, bring along your own.
-
5
Have your neck and the area behind your ears wiped with a sanitary towel and blown dry with cool air from a hair dryer. This will prevent itching even after you leave the barber's chair.
