How to Confirm Your Facebook Account Using Your Phone
Facebook provides users additional account security with its phone confirmation service. Your phone will receive a confirmation code that you must provide Facebook to verify ownership of your account. A user with a verified account will be able to retrieve a lost password in the future through the phone. Facebook may also require certain users to confirm ownership of their accounts to prevent malicious activity, such as fake account creation, from harming other genuine users of the social network.

Open your browser and go to Facebook.com. Enter your email address and password, then click the "Log In" button.

Go to the Confirm Your Phone page at Facebook.com/confirmphone.php in your browser.

Click the "Country Code" drop-down menu and select your country.

Type your phone number in the "Phone Number" field.

Click the "Confirm" button. A confirmation code will be sent to your mobile phone.

Check the received messages on your mobile phone for the confirmation code message from Facebook.

Type the code you received in the "Code" field on the "Confirm Your Phone" page in your browser.

Click the "Confirm" button. An "Account Verified" message appears on the next page.
