A MoneyPak is the only way to add funds to PayPal without a bank account. They are found in places like grocery stores and pharmacies, and they are used to add funds to a reloadable Visa or MasterCard. To transfer the balance to a PayPal Debit card, you must already have a card associated with the account. You can apply for a PayPal card only after your account is at least 60 days old.

Instructions

      Purchase a MoneyPak from a participating retailer. Enter your ZIP code into the "MoneyPak Store Locator" at Moneypak.com, to find one in your neighborhood.

      Call 1-800-Greendot to add the funds to the Visa. Alternatively, go to Moneypak.com and click "Use a MoneyPak."

      Click "Reload Now," and enter the 16-digit card number.

      Click "Reload," then enter the the number on the back of the MoneyPak. Press "Enter." The funds from the MoneyPak are added to the Visa instantly.

      Go to Paypal.com and log in to your account.

      Move the cursor over "Add Funds," then click "Add Funds from MoneyPak."

      Enter the number found on the back of the MoneyPak, plus the CAPTCHA letters below.

      Click "Continue." The money will be available instantly in your PayPal account. Use your PayPal debit card to pay for purchases or withdraw the funds from an ATM machine.

Tips & Warnings

  • Verify your PayPal account to lift the $250 funding limit. Click "View Limits," to verify your details and view withdrawal and spending limits.
