How to Answer a Friendship Request on Facebook

One way Facebook preserves your privacy is by requiring your approval to add users to your friends list. You have two initial options for answering a friendship request. You can accept it and add the person to your friends list or hide the request and take action later. You can delete a friend request after hiding it if you are certain you don't want to accept the request. The sender isn't notified when you delete or hide a request.
