How to Make the Poke Symbol on Facebook
The Facebook Poke is a method of communication that you can use on Facebook to gently nudge a Facebook Friend. When you send a Poke to a Friend, that Friend will receive a notification along with the Poke symbol in the upper right corner of her Facebook Profile page and will then have the option to return the poke or delete it. You can make the Poke symbol appear on any person's page that you are Friends with.

Open your browser and navigate to Facebook.com. Log in to your account if not logged in.

Type in the name of the Friend you wish to Poke into the Search bar at the top of the page. Click on the name of the Friend to visit that Friend's profile page.

Click the "Poke" button, located in the top right corner of the page to send a Poke to the Friend; a pop-up confirmation window will appear.

Click "Poke" on the pop-up window. The Friend will receive the Poke symbol at the top right corner of his Facebook profile page with the option to remove the Poke or Poke you back.
