How to Join Paths in Fireworks CS5
Adobe Creative Suite 5 includes Fireworks CS5, an application allowing users to create graphics and animations optimized for the Web. When working with your project in Fireworks, you may find a need to add a path or to combine multiple paths you have already created for your content. Using Fireworks' tools you can quickly join paths to extend or combine them and make it appear as one contiguous functional path.

Click the "Pen" tool icon in the Tools panel on the left side of the screen.

Click the square at the end of the path that is formatted correctly to select the point.

Click the square at the end of the second path to join the two. The style formatting of the first path will be applied to this path when they are merged.

Repeat the process to connect additional paths, using the end of the second path first and connecting it to the beginning of a third path.
