How to Edit a Freecorder Toolbar

Freecorder is a free program that allows you to record and save any form of audio heard on your computer. In addition to recording sound, Freecorder also comes with a toolbar. The Freecorder Toolbar comes with many shortcuts and gadgets already installed. Editing these gadgets and shortcuts to include only the options you want ensures that you get the most out of the Freecorder software.

      Open your web browser.

      Click on the "Toolbar Options" arrow on the Freecorder Toolbar. The "Toolbar Options" arrow is located between the search bar and the Freecorder logo. After you click on the "Toolbar Options" arrow, a drop-down menu will appear.

      Select "Toolbar Options" from the drop-down menu.

      Click on the "Personal Components" tab to activate the Freecorder Toolbar's email notifier, pop-up blocker and weather forecaster. Click on the boxes next to the options, then click the "Ok" button to add these components to your Freecorder Toolbar.

      Move to the "Predefined Components" tab to remove things already installed on the toolbar such as the radio and the highlighter.

      Go to the "Useful Components" tab. You can add shortcuts to Microsoft Office programs such as Word and PowerPoint in this tab.
