How to: Gardening Glove Organizers

How to: Gardening Glove Organizers thumbnail
Store your garden gloves on an organizer when you aren't working.

Clawing through dirt, yanking out weeds and sowing seeds with bare hands leaves the skin dirty and nails messy. To avoid this mess, make and hang a garden glove organizer to keep near the other garden supplies in a shed or garage. By hanging up garden gloves, you can grab them easily. They will also dry easily while they hang. The organizer can also prevent the loss of a glove.

Instructions

    • 1

Sand the surface of the 6 inch wide by 1 foot long wooden block to make the surface slightly rough.

    • 2

Dip the sponge paintbrush into the wood stain. Spread the stain over the block. Wipe off the stain with the rag. Some of the coloration will remain on the wood. Let the wood block dry.

    • 3

Lay the block horizontally on a flat surface. Drill four holes into the wood. Start the first hole 3 inches from the edge. Drill another hole 2 inches from the first. Drill another hole 2 inches from the second hole. Drill the last hole 2-inches from the third hole. Turn the block over. Drill one hole 1 inch from the top edge and 2 inches from the edge. Drill another hole 10inches from the other end and 1 inch from the top edge.

    • 4

Screw the hooks into the holes in the front of the board. The hooks should face upwards. Screw the loops into the holes in the back.

    • 5

Measure out a 1 foot piece of picture wire. Bend the wire in half. Wrap the wire around each of the loops on the back of the board. Hang the board by draping the wire over a nail or hook.
