Instructions

    • 1

Blowdry wet, combed hair until it is just barely damp.

    • 2

Apply volumizing mousse according to the directions on the package. Using your fingers, work it throughout your damp hair from the roots to the ends.

    • 3

Finish blowdrying your hair, using a large, round brush this time. Pull the brush through your hair while drying, twirling it slightly at the ends. This creates extra volume, though at this point your hair may appear a bit wild and poofy.

    • 4

Separate your hair into four cross-sections using hair clips and curl the hair in one-to-two-inch sections at a time. Pointing the end of the curling iron up, grasp sections of hair in the iron at the ends and curl until you nearly reach the root. Use motions that twist the hair away from the face. Repeat until all hair is curled.

    • 5

Run your fingers lightly through the curls to create the soft "glam wave" look.

    • 6

Secure your waves with aerosol hairspray.

Tips & Warnings

  • To add even more volume, you may tease the top portions of your hair. To do so, hold a section upright and run a comb the wrong way through your hair at the roots.
