Transform a traditional red wagon into a pirate's ship with a few simple craft materials that you may already have on hand at your house. Be creative and resourceful. 1
Place a piece of poster board or foam board on a flat workspace, such as a table. Draw a freeform semicircle from the top left corner to the top right corner of the board with a pencil.
-
2
Cut out the semicircle with a pair of scissors. If you are using foam board, use a cutting mat and a utility knife. This is the hull of your ship. Draw and cut a second hull.

-
3
Decorate the hulls with markers.
-
4
Hot glue one hull on each side of the wagon.
-
5
Glue a bare gift wrap roll inside the wagon at the back. This is your mast.
-
6
Glue tattered scraps of fabric along the vertical seam of the gift wrap roll to mimic the tattered sails of a pirate ship. Hot glue a pirate's flag at the top of the gift wrap roll.
-
7
Tie or glue a white mesh laundry bag off one of the sides of the wagon. This is your pirate's fishing net.
-
8
Tie red bandannas around your children's heads. They are ready to set sail.
