Kirby Shampoo System Instructions
The Kirby Sentria is a multi-use cleaning system that operates as an upright vacuum, canister vacuum, floor buffer and carpet shampoo system. Carpet is susceptible to staining and retaining large deposits of dirt and debris because to its texture. The Kirby shampoo system keeps carpet sanitary and preserves its appearance by creating a soapy foam that penetrates the carpet and loosens dirt and debris. After a set amount of time passes, you use the Kirby Sentria to sweep up the foam and leave the clean carpet to air dry. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Vacuum the carpet to remove dust, dirt and debris.
-
2
Detach the vacuum bag from the vacuum handle and emptor boot, the plastic piece between the bag and the vacuum. Turn the knob on the front of the vacuum head until the arrows on the knob and the red arrows on the base are aligned, then remove the vacuum head.

3
Place the shampoo nozzle over the tray system and align the knob of the nozzle with the red arrows inscribed on the nozzle's base. Step on the elevation lever of the Sentria to raise the device. Slide the nozzle into place and turn the knob until it aligns with the green arrows on the base of the Sentria. Attach the reservoir bank to the emptor.

4
Evaluate the size of the room to determine how much water and cleaning solution are required. The Kirby water reservoir and the Kirby Shampoo solution measuring cup both have three lines that represent room sizes. For large rooms, use three lines of water and three lines of cleaning solution; the smallest rooms only need one line of water and one line of cleaning solution.
-
5
Pour the appropriate amount of water into the reservoir and add the corresponding amount of shampoo solution.
-
6
Turn the "ON/OFF" valve switch located on the side of the shampoo system clockwise to open the reservoir valve and release foam. There is a direct correlation between how far you turn the valve and the amount of foam released. The larger the area, the more foam required.
-
7
Use a back-and-forth motion to make strokes of uniform length until the entire carpet is coated with foam, then turn the valve switch counterclockwise until it is in the "OFF" position. Allow the solution to settle into the carpet for three minutes.
-
8
Press the "Drive" pedal and begin picking up foam slowly in the same manner as you applied it.
