Instructions

    • 1

Measure the length and width of the window where you'll be installing the window screen to verify the size. The measurement could be 6 feet in either length, width or both, so measure and verify the window screen you have will fit in the opening.

    • 2

Inspect the hardware on the window screen and determine how it will install into the track. Look for clips on the sides of the window and along the top. These clips will snap back and lock into place in the track.

    • 3

Raise the lower section of the window from the interior of the house. Tilt it out and have a helper hold it so it doesn't get in the way when you're installing the window screen. Set the bottom of the window screen into place along the frame of the window.

    • 4

Push the bottom of the screen out away from the house so it's standing straight up in the window. Pull the plugs or latches at the top of the window in and push the window into place. Release the plugs to lock the window in.

    • 5

Move the window back into place and close it. Inspect the screen from the outside of the house and verify that it's installed properly in the window.
